In response to “Taiwan's 2030 Bilingual Nation Policy,” Principal Yueh Ting Tsou is the starter of this meaningful program. Teachers of the YMHS have immediately responded to this call. The YMHS bilingual experimental class was founded in the Autumn of 2021. There are four characteristics of the YMHS bilingual experimental class.
bilingual
The YMHS offers English immersive training courses. These immersive classes offer English instruction on the subjects of Math, Chemistry, PE, Art and Counseling.
partnership
The YMHS builds partnership with various schools from Asia Pacific, Europe and America. This initiates international activities and the exchange of learning experiences online and offline.
enrichment
Extra learning camps are held on Saturdays. This provides intensive bursts of teaching learning activities for students.
un SDG
Students are trained with infographic designing skills that incorporate topics from the UN's SDGs. This bridges students to the world with an understanding of current affairs.

Founded in 1948, the school was first named as Yang Mei Junior High School . Then in 1951, it established high school division, the Taoyuan County Yang Mei Junior High School which was renamed as Taoyuan County Yang Mei Middle School. In 2000, after the reformation of school system, it was renamed to National Yang Mei High School. Finally, in 2018, it was renamed to Yang Mei Senior High School.
