Welcome to a unique and engaging course that blends learning about endangered species, understanding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and fostering creativity through sustainable practices. In this course, students will embark on a journey to explore the importance of protecting endangered animals, the global goals set to preserve our planet's biodiversity, and the power of creativity in promoting conservation efforts.
Throughout the course, you will:
investigate endangered species and their habitats, delving into the reasons behind their endangerment and the impact on ecosystems;
discover Sustainable Development Goals 14 and 15, focusing on life below water and life on land, and how these goals aim to safeguard wildlife and their environments;
examine the effects of pollution on endangered species, linking to Sustainable Development Goal 13 and exploring solutions to mitigate these impacts;
engage in hands-on activities such as designing scary animal characters using recycled materials, and preparing for a virtual Halloween show with a conservation message;
collaborate with peers from different countries to showcase their creations and share ideas on protecting wildlife globally; and
reflect on personal actions that can contribute to the conservation of endangered species and achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
By the end of the course, students will have gained a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between environmental conservation, sustainable development, and creative expression. They will leave empowered as advocates for wildlife, equipped with the knowledge and skills to positively impact the world around them.
